Grand Land Coffee is a farmer owned company based in Rwanda, and made up of local farmers working together to help improve their farming practices while linking themselves to international markets. Grand Land Coffee is sourced from farm cooperatives that grow coffee at high altitude volcanic soils, to ensure the highest level of quality.
The coffee-growing system around Gicumbi and along the Kivu Belt plays an important role on primates and other species life and our conservation project activities involve villagers from within the community engaging them in biodiversity and primates study to find long term solutions to challenges faced between coffee and conservation while also improving the lives of farmers by training them on how to grow and process good quality coffee leading to increased profitability that supports developments around and within the parks
We improve the lives of farmers living around the national parks by training them on how to grow and process good quality coffee while paying them premium prices to improve their livelihoods and ensuring the bright future for the next generation by producing high quality coffee, increasing profitability and economic development and supporting the conservation efforts of the primates found within the parks, thus stopping farmers from poaching and collecting firewood from the forest to make ends meet.
We work directly and exclusively with small scale, quality-focused coffee farmers and they are the cornerstones of their communities and we work hard to make sure that, they are fully supported in their effort to produce the highest quality products and they get a fair price for their hard work, and their communities continue to benefit as a result.
